# How do I collect a scope of appointment remotely?

Send a secure SOA link from the contact record by text or email. The client signs on their phone, the signed PDF attaches to the contact, and the timestamp is stored for your retention requirements.

## Send a remote SOA

1. Open the contact and click Send SOA.
2. Select the product types being discussed.
3. Choose SMS, email, or both.
4. The client opens the link, signs, and the PDF attaches automatically.

## Timing rules

Medicare marketing rules require the SOA before a sales appointment, with the required waiting period observed. The pipeline gate blocks stage advancement until a valid signed SOA exists.

### How long are SOA links valid?

Links expire after 7 days. You can resend a fresh link at any time.
