# unLocked Becomes the First Insurance CRM With a Native MCP Server (Industry First)

## TL;DR

unLocked CRM is the first insurance platform with a native MCP server. While competitors still publish PDF API docs (or nothing), we ship MCP, OpenAPI 3.1, AgentSkills, llms.txt, and HMAC-signed webhooks — making us the only insurance CRM ready for the agent era.

Today we're announcing what we believe is an industry first: a production-grade Model Context Protocol (MCP) server built directly into an insurance CRM. No competing insurance CRM has shipped this. Most haven't even shipped a real OpenAPI 3.1 spec.

Why This Is a Big Deal

MCP is the standard the entire AI ecosystem is converging on for letting agents talk to external systems. Anthropic introduced it. OpenAI is adopting it. Cursor, Continue, Cline, and dozens of clients support it. The CRMs that ship MCP first will be the ones AI-forward agencies build their stacks around.

What "Native" Means Here

Built into core, not bolted on: the MCP server is a first-class deployment target, not a third-party integration

16 resources, full CRUD + bulk: every CRM object an agent might want is exposed

Same auth as REST: existing API keys work — no separate credential surface

HMAC-signed webhooks paired with MCP: agents can subscribe to changes, not just poll

Where the Industry Is

We surveyed the top 12 insurance-specific CRMs in November 2025. Findings: 0 ship MCP, 2 ship a partial OpenAPI 3.0 spec, 4 publish hand-maintained PDF docs, 6 don't publish anything machine-readable. We're not slightly ahead — we're in a different category.

What Comes Next

We're publishing the entire integration stack publicly so AI tools can auto-discover us: RFC 9727 api-catalog, AgentSkills v0.2 manifest, llms.txt, llms-full.txt, markdown twins on every key page, and a Web Bot Auth JWKS. If you're building an agent, you'll find us — automatically.
